751789 2009-02-28 05:42:00 Excellent!

You can explain Google searches to my boy .

He thinks, and I'm inclined to agree, that there's NO way a computer 'signal' can go from his pc in NZ . . . out thru his ISP . . . . across to the US, search nine million records in God-knows-how-many servers, and come back to his computer . . . . . . . . THAT fast!

He reckons it's bollocks!

I had a hard time trying to explain otherwise .

If it were me, I'd beat him until he comprehends . It's refreshing to see that NZ needs to go to the US for all it's information and search results .

I bet Google returns - say the first 100-or so results as fast as you see, but by the time you click on the next group of 100, it has rounded up some more .

That way it stays a few steps ahead of you and Google-search looks like it did it all at once .

I see my post (No 3) misunderstood what you wanted .
So - like hueybot3000 - I'm wondering why you wanted it . . ?

Nah - I think you were in line with my thoughts and desires . I just wanted to skip past all the first humpty-million or so results and get to the last page .

Dear Laura,

I've noticed now that the official forum clock is about 5-minutes fast . Did you row that tectonic plate a little closer to the US?
