853008 2010-01-28 20:19:00 Is there a way of stopping, say, Youtube video downloads short of quitting the page?

It's annoying (to me, anyway!) to stop a video because you don't want any more but see the download go on regardless.

There is a Greasemonkey script that is supposed to add a button to start/ stop youTube download, but I havent tried it.

"Youtube allow you to pause the video, but it keeps downloading" ....userscripts.org

853011 2010-01-30 04:05:00 If you use firefox , then i recomend this add on: Stop Auto-play

Works for me, videos dont automatically start etc etc

853014 2010-01-31 20:43:00 I have prefbar (http://prefbar.mozdev.org/) installed on SeaMonkey & Firefox. You can add a "Kill Flash" button to the toolbar which happily stops YT videos. autechre (266)

853016 2010-04-25 03:51:00 Try right click on mouse while cursor is on video > left click "stop download" it works with Chrome but unsure about others. SP8's (9836)
