852774 2010-01-28 03:32:00 I'm getting emails from someone with an msn account but he's not getting mine from ihug, or mine from gmail. How do we find out what the problem is and how to fix it? I send and receive many emails each day and haven't had this problem before. gumnut88 (15599)
852775 2010-01-28 03:44:00 get him add your email address to his safe/trusted sender list (or similar)
Also to look in his spam folder for your emails.

Also to look in his spam folder for your emails. He said he has done that and I didn't ask for details as he's on a PC, I'm in Mac OSX and I've never used anything else so I don't understand any cross-platform techtalk.

852777 2010-01-28 04:06:00 By any chance are you attaching a file over say 3 megabytes to your email? Sweep (90)
852778 2010-01-28 04:13:00 I've only sent a .pdf of 32Kb and the other emails were just a line of text asking if he had received my first email. He rang me and said that nothing had arrived in his Inbox from me. gumnut88 (15599)
852779 2010-01-28 04:28:00 If you don't get a SMTP reject message, then most likely MSN is accepting it, then either putting it in his SPAM folder (his job to find it) or binning it silently (totally unacceptable for an email provider and he should change providers).

You're not comparing 'size', purchasing 'meds' or 'inheriting money from a long lost relative' via this person are you? :)

852781 2010-01-28 06:19:00 Hi gumnut, is this a Hotmail account you're sending to? Hotmail should not be silently binning any email, I doubt that would be the problem. I've used Hotmail for many years with no issues whatsoever. If you've triple checked the email address you are sending to and your friend is still not receiving the email I'd suggest they contact Hotmail customer support with the details just to be sure.

cheers

W Their address ends in @msn.com -not hotmail. Now I come to think of it, I have a hotmail account I hardly ever use so I will try sending from that.
