| 852614 | 2010-01-27 14:56:00 | I have just built a new machine with this mobo. It is 1156 with i5 processor, 2x2GB kingston RAM. When i try to boot i get 8 bios beeps, this means 'graphics memory error' according to the manufacturers web-site, although they dont indicate what it means or how to fix it. Anyways i have re-seated the CPU, swapped RAM around and disconnected the CD and HDD. I am using the onboard VGA port. I dont get anything on the display at all. Anyway, i've come to the conclusion that the mobo is faulty, but before i return it does anyone know if there is anything i can do to resolve it?? |

| 852618 | 2010-01-28 10:33:00 | I've just had this response from ASRock support... Please keep in mind that the graphics processor must be integrated in the CPU in order to be able to use the onboard DVI or VGA outputs. What does that mean? |

| 852619 | 2010-01-28 11:17:00 | You need a Core i3 Clarkdale for the graphics. I don't think the P55 chipset itself has a GPU; it's integrated with i3 CPUs, not the chipset. Hence ASRock says the graphics processor must be integrated in the CPU. |

| 852621 | 2010-01-28 13:32:00 | i5 CPU's don't have onboard video. LGA1156 doesn't have a north bridge so the GPU has been moved to the CPU of the i3's. |
