| 752673 | 2009-03-02 23:07:00 | Cheap PC - What is needed here? Just saw the price of IP cameras (way too high), so needs a capture card. Woah, slow down there. Just get a cheap $20 webcam and Dorgem (http://dorgem.sourceforge.net/) (free, no longer maintained). It supports uploading over FTP, and can be set to take photos with or without timestamps, at various intervals, and can also be motion-activated. |

I'm sure their terms and conditions wouldn't allow you to do this. Reposting their publicly funded data may be ok. Given that if you signup for their "business" services and one of those services is the ability to include metservice forecasts directly into your website, I think this is a non-issue. www.metservice.co.nz (internet service) |

There are some unknowns: - budget - quality of info required by the service e.g Maybe a stock-standard webcam image is sufficient or maybe a higher quality one from CCTV is required. |

| 752677 | 2009-03-03 04:30:00 | Yeah something like that shermo. Except that website is ugly and half the cams don't work. | pine-o-cleen (2955) | ||
