853235 2010-02-03 02:34:00 I have Windows Vista Ultimate and the Windows 7RC so in GRUB it comes up with Win 7 bootloader. Civic (15464)
853236 2010-02-03 02:50:00 If you don't have a Vista install disc you can get this (make sure you get the one for 64bit if you have it or 32bit otherwise)
neosmart.net
it will repair your bootloader

853237 2010-02-03 02:52:00 I have my Vista OEM disk still (somewhere) and when I get the choice just chose repair and then it will repair everything or just Windows itself. Civic (15464)
853238 2010-02-03 02:59:00 Brilliant! I wasn't sure if you had one or not.:clap KarameaDave (15222)
853239 2010-02-04 01:02:00 Hey

I tried using the OEM OS disk and went into repair and the start up options but it says there are no problems and GRUB still boots before the MS boot loader.

853241 2010-02-04 02:47:00 Tried the Bootrec.exe and then going /FixBoot
but it kept coming up saying that it is not recognized despite all the combination's I tried that might make it work.

853242 2010-02-04 03:56:00 try the /RebuildBcd command. KarameaDave (15222)
853243 2010-02-04 04:52:00 It Worked!

I went into it and done the RebuildBcd and just to be sure I done the Fix Mbr and Fixboot after wards and now it loads the MS boot loader.

sorry to ask for more but just one last thing.
Before I had that version of Ubuntu I had Ubuntu installed via Wubi and it makes it appear in the MS boot loader, however I curropted it and was wondering how I would remove the entry as it doesn't show up in MSconfig

I think EasyBCD is the thing to use.
