| 753101 | 2009-03-05 02:24:00 | In IE7Pro you'll need to add an extra filter to get rid of the ads on here: *adbureau.net* and pagead2.googlesyndication.com as a URL Block filter (maybe also openads.zeads.com as well) It's easy to do in IE7Pro. When you find an ad which isn't already blocked, go to the properties (or look in source) and find the website it comes from. Then using the URL Block filter just add the domain name of the website with * on each end as a wildcard to block the whole thing. Sometimes you'll get left with a blank space where the ad was, so you might need to change or also add a div/table/frame/image filter for the same URL as well Thanks Agent. Will try your advise. Where do I find the URL Block filter. Have looked everywhere in IE7Pro and cannot see it anywhere. Cheers Colin |

Cheers Colin Double-click on the IE7Pro icon in your browser (or hit Ctrl+F7) Then on the left hand side click "AD Blocker" Down the bottom you will see a field called "Rule:" (this is where you put in the URL you want to block etc) and then under that is "Filter Type" where you choose what you want the AD Blocker to do to the rule. That is where you would chose "URL Block Filter" OR you can right click on an image that you want to block and choose "Filter this image" then you can play around with the URL etc that way. However this sometimes doesn't come up (especially for text and flash ads) so you need to do it the manual way (After finding out the URL somehow, usually have to look in source) |

| 753104 | 2009-03-05 03:33:00 | After you enable a module you have to restart IE7. That means shutting down ALL IE windows and anything running with iexplore.exe process. By the way, when you do a quote in PF1, it has to finish with the [/QUOTE] tag |

All screen shots and movies show the Ad Blocker present on the list. Have restarted IE several times so will now try to restart the comp. Edit Shut down and restarted machine. Still no ad blocker showing. Check Version and update check say I have the latest. |

| 753106 | 2009-03-05 04:17:00 | Can you right click on IE7Pro Icon and click "enable ad blocker' ? Very weird... It should be working if it's enabled under modules.. Maybe since it's a work PC something is stopping it from working properly? |

| 753108 | 2009-03-05 04:44:00 | There are a number of compiled HOSTS files that can be downloaded that in their own right will block most ads, or if not, the offending URLs can be added. Adblock + HOSTS = no ads whatsoever anywhere:banana This is one good site with the HOSTS updated Feb 2009 www.mvps.org |

| 753109 | 2009-03-05 04:47:00 | Thanks for your Help Agent. Just rechecked the Properties menu and noticed that the Ad Blocker was not ticked.??? Ticked it and restarted IE. Appears in list and option is present in right click. The restart of 'puter is the only thing I can think of that may have straightened it out. Thank again. Cheers Colin Now I can kill these ads (I hope) |
