| 752930 | 2009-03-03 20:17:00 | Read the whole judgement, Telecom wasn't fined for something they did, it was basically for not making it clearer to the call centre operators when to shut up. In one of the three cases an operator padded his answer with something he thought he's read in PC World magazine, unfortunately he was talking to an ex Telecom Engineer. I was not commenting on what they did but was pointing out that it was most probably the receptionist who paid the fine out of petty cash. I would not be surprised if $45,000 would not cover the amount Telecom pays daily for coffee, sugar and milk for the staff - a mere drop in the bucket. |
