852722 2010-01-27 22:19:00 Yeah i was just browsing through the manual and a few things are different.

It probably won't matter as you will want the VIA 4 in 1 Chipset drivers which will be common to all 5 boards.

Just be careful to get the correct BIOS if you want to flash the new board.

852723 2010-01-27 22:19:00 I just looked at the website at the different versions and none of them are like my one. My one has yellow ide sockets and red and green ram slots. bot (15449)

I'll try the drivers.

Can you find any other numbers / letters on the board?

852726 2010-01-27 22:38:00 That is definatley the one bot (15449)
852727 2010-01-27 22:38:00 I wouldn't worry about the plastic being different colours, usually they just go with whatever they have in stock at the time of manufacture, so colours can change depending on when the board was made.

The other explanation could be that it's a new revision (or old revision).

If the model number is correct, but the board doesn't look right, check to make sure it's not v2.0 or something.

Albatron have a habit of releasing new board revisions with the same model name and with small changes, but then only writing the difference on the board in really tiny text

852728 2010-01-27 22:39:00 When you turn on, you may get a bios firmware no at the bottom of the screen (not the revison no).
eg 12-xPM266xx-abcde
Google that number & you may get lucky

852729 2010-01-27 22:40:00 yeah i was thinking that too bot (15449)
852730 2010-01-27 23:25:00 If you still can't work it out, you could take several good quality photos of the motherboard showing any text clearly, and upload them somewhere we can see them. Agent_24 (57)

The motherboard in that photo is definitely the right one.
