| 853553 | 2010-01-30 04:37:00 | The DVD RW drive on my HP laptop will not allow me to access any CD or DVD for any reason. I can insert a CD and close the drive but as soon as I want to access the CD the drive ejects the CD. It brings up a small window that says, "Insert a disc." It would be great if I could use the drive to install a programme but it does not want to co-operate. It is a HP Pavilion dv6000 running Vista. Thanks for your help. |

| 853555 | 2010-01-30 07:14:00 | I have no idea if the driver is corrupt or the drive has died. How does one tell? I assume that the drive has not died as it can be opened, closed and there is a negative reaction when I try to access any disc. I do not have a boot disc. I'm not certain I know what a boot disc is. It does it with all discs. No exceptions. |
