Well, I don't drink water - unless, of course, it has a decent measure of gin, otherwise why would you drink water? The thing today is to carry a bottle of water with you. I don't understand why. Can't you go for a few hours with nothing to drink? It's not that difficult. I think I'll stick to gin.:clap |

| 1449118 | 2018-05-01 02:57:00 | There was a recent article on stuff questioning this topic and the consensus among actual qualified people is there is no standard amount for everyone. Many people struggle to get anywhere near 10 glasses or 2L or whatever amount somebody claims you should have. What you are supposed to do is judge how dehydrated you are by the colour of your urine and adjust your water intake accordingly. If it's light in colour you are fine, if it's darker you probably need more water. Water is good for you, but you get plenty of it not just from drinking liquids but also for many of the foods you eat. In fact that stuff article mentioned it all goes back to an old document about how much water the average human body requires per day in total but which did not specify the source. It's a total water requirement from all sources, not just from water that you drink. |

I think it came from an article in the distant past which did not refer to any backup data to support it. A lot of the water you get comes in the form of food anyway, without the need to suckle on a bottle during the day. |

| 1449120 | 2018-05-01 04:04:00 | Apparently it is recommended that you drink ten glasses of water per day. Is that correct? Not it isn't. It's a bit of a myth. Updated Jan 23, 2018 By Rose Kennedy, For the AJC Some of them are hype from marketers or overzealous trainers, but most are just misconceptions that have been accepted into the culture. Certainly, staying hydrated does contribute to overall health. Myth: Drinking lots of water will curb your appetite. There's no need to constantly gulp down water,s. the moisture in food alone provides about 20 percent of the fluid you need. drink water when you're thirsty, and your hydration levels should be fine Remember coffee, tea, soup, juice, beer are all water with additives. It's all water. |

There is water in so many other things you drink, soup, coffee, tea, beer etc. |
