1447305 2018-03-15 01:44:00 In the US, we stupidly change our clocks when the days get longer and the government wants to give the cows and sheep and chickens a little more production time . Yup - it's for the farmers . Never mind that the farmer gets up with the chickens and they (chickens) don't use nor care about Daylight Saving Time .

OK - rant over ---- but the last time the clocks changed for the 1 hour difference, my Samsung Tab A with Stylus refused to change the time to reflect the government's dumb-o idea too .

Now - this time it's screwed up again - both the government and my Samsung .

I've Googled until my fingers bleed and all I can find is that someone's PHONE did the same thing - but that don't fix MY tablet!

Phones is phones - tablets is tablets!

Any ideas? I've been into the settings area - (arena is more like it!) and I cannot change the time there .

1447306 2018-03-15 02:36:00 We have the same 1 hour changing here, its called daylight saving. Ours is about to end, Don't know where the light is saved ;) but someones bound to be making $$ from it. :D

Don't have a Samsung Tablet, but my Samsung phone its settings - More - Date and Time.

If its set to Automatic ( mine is) once on the internet as soon as the sync changes and connects to changes it should auto change to the correct time. If its manually just select the set time and manually change.

1447307 2018-03-15 02:37:00 Check region & time zone in the settings.
Also , because Samsung dont want to do updates, time zone settings may not reflect any recent daylight savings changes there

It should adjust the time automatically during daylight savings. May also be a tick box for daylight savings
Otherwise, change the time manually

In upsidedownland, my various Samsung's auto adjusted for this . Dont use a samsung now so cant check where that setting is.
Being Samsung & android , settings for this will be in different places on different samsung devices. Should be in the same general area though
Im guessing its because you have too many time zones in the US. Could you please narrow your country up a bit so there is just the 1 time zone there?

Farmers here used to complain that daylight saving upset the cows milking routine.
I never understood that lack of logic , cows dont wear watches so how do they know its daylight savings ?

1447308 2018-03-15 02:41:00 Just checked my LG Android
It also has ticked option "use network-provided time" , so takes time from ph companies settings ?

1447309 2018-03-15 02:50:00 You looked at this?

www.samsung.com

If it's on auto it should just pick it up....my dumb phone does. PCs do, GDs tablet does too.

1447310 2018-03-15 02:55:00 On my Samsung phone with android 7 it's Settings -> General management -> Date and time and I can change it manually if I want to.
It does set itself automatically based on the timezone regardless of the other settings though.

1447311 2018-03-15 03:25:00 Here's what that site says:

(To) Set Automatic Date and Time:

Navigate to Apps > Settings .

Touch Search, and then search for and select Date and time .

To turn on Automatic date and time, touch the slider next to Automatic date and time .

1 . There is NO Settings in Apps .

The drop-down says: Sort by size
Default Apps
App Permissions
Show System Apps
Reset App Preferences

That's it (^)

2 . There is no SEARCH and therefor also no Select Date & Time
3 . There is no place to find Automatically Set Date & Time .

If it was that simple I'd have done it already .

This is irksome . I don't remember IF I had to correct it last time - but this time I have no idea .

1447312 2018-03-15 03:45:00 Tab A manual here
www.spark.co.nz

here , the 1st 3 steps : to get you into settings
www.spark.co.nz

If the settings icon is gone... hmmn dont know sorry
Look for the gear icon , swipe down from top of screen gives the gear icon on many older Androids (older being 2 years+)

1447313 2018-03-15 03:51:00 Show System Apps, or find the Gear symbol that says Settings. Sometimes you can swipe a menu down, hold a home or navigation button or try accessing the time on the screen if its there.

I'm not sure if your tablet is connected to a cell provider, so its quite possible you're using an network time protocol service when connected to the internet, so until they update their servers, the time will be incorrect.

Once you find the date and time location, you should be able to change it from being automatic and can set manually, it could eventually be changed back to automatic when the time has sync'd. (sunk)

1447314 2018-03-15 03:57:00 I dunno, a new Samsung I had to config (today) , Samsung went out of their way to HIDE common default Android apps. Trying to push their own Samsung crappy apps instead

So not surprised if its causing some grief.
