1447110 2018-03-07 06:06:00 Hi All
Are all Micro SD all the same physical size, 16GB thro to 256GB. Is there a restriction as to the data size that a computer memory will accrpt? Thanks. PJ

1447111 2018-03-07 06:18:00 same physical size yes, but there are different types and not all card readers can handle them all. Depends how old your PC and/or card reader is. There are SD, SDHC, SDXC, and UHS type cards as well as a speed rating from 1-10

I bought a cheap Everis 14" from the warehouse mainly to use as a book reader. The bonus in that is taht it can act as acomputer as well. C Drive is only 32GB, so I got a toshiba 64 GB micro SD for a D Drive. Now I want to replace it with 128GB or even bigger. The computer is less than a year old to me. A new SD card will be whatever is "on the shelf". I am hoping that any SD caard will work. What do you think? Thanks. PJ

1447113 2018-03-07 07:54:00 Try it and see. Mind you buying in NZ can be a bit of a rip off. We just brought a Micro SD card last week from overseas for our camera 512GB @ under $20, so if they dont work no big deal. wainuitech (129)
1447114 2018-03-07 08:50:00 There's a pretty good chance any of them will work. The UHS and SDXC are the newest standards so there's slightly more risk with them but you should be fine.

I have a 64GB SDXC card and it's worked in everything I've tried.

How are the newer ones better than the older ones. PJ
