1448300 2018-04-09 21:05:00 Haven't had rain in Ranui for ages, was looking forward to this storm.
1:15am a bit of rain started. 2:26am there was thunder and lightning.
Went back to sleep, this morning, rushed out to check tanks - maybe a bucketful!!!

Arrrggghhhh. Sun coming out now, clouds going east rapidly. It always ends up like that here, even if other parts of Auckland get heaps.
Grrr.... so over watering the gardens.

1448301 2018-04-09 21:30:00 Snow? pffft...Wellington must have the most boring, uneventful weather of the whole country.

We get sun, wind and rain. That's all. Nothing exciting like thunderstorms, snow, hail.

Though the thunderclap at 11:56pm last night was a ripper. Sounded like the sky was being torn apart. But that'll be us for the year.

1448304 2018-04-09 23:12:00 Napier was very pleasant at 5.30am when I went out for the paper. By 9.30 am it was very unpleasant and is continuing to worsen. Enjoy the snow. :)

1448306 2018-04-10 00:54:00 We were there a couple of weeks ago. We visited the hot pools. It was a lovely sunny day. Glad we are back home in Auckland now that the snow has arrived. Roscoe (6288)

The pools are great on a day like today. Snow on the ground just about gone but the mountains all around are covered
