755675 2009-03-12 00:20:00 I remember going to a car yard with my dad in about 1978, we took a car for a test drive, when we got back our car was gone, The old boy wasn't worried in the least, He figured someone had taken it for a test drive, 20 minutes later it arrived back at the yard (we had left it on the road, keys in the ignition).

I assume the person who took it thought it was from the yard, either way no one was really worried or considered for a second the car had been stolen.

755676 2009-03-12 02:25:00 I bought a Kwaka Z900A-4 years ago but the dude selling it wouldn't let me take it for a test blat solo. Had to ride pillion around the block, bike went ok (it wasn't the widow maker Z1A) and paid for bike. prefect (6291)

755678 2009-03-12 04:14:00 You might be thinking about the mach3 which would wheelstand or even flip right over if you chopped it down a few cogs and quickly opened the throttle. There are acres of graves around the world with people who did just that. Only way to survive riding a mach3 was to fixate on the tacho.
As well as a vicious powerband and tremendous power they were ratchet on bumpy corners, frame twisted useless shockies. I took a mates one for a ride and it was as fast as a bullet and it was the the detuned model from the drum brake mega widow maker.

Z9 was tamer version of Z1 like in chips tv program it had smaller carbs detuned cams.
It had double front disks over the Z1s single but they weren't as powerful as they looked. A lot of the force from the master cylinder was used up expanding the flexible standard nip brake hoses.

In the seventies the triple pot 500 Kwaka was the widow maker.
