755242 2009-03-10 08:39:00 Ive been using CompactFlash cards and they've been fine in terms of performance for reads / writes ... ? Not .5 of a second mind you but still ;) Chilling_Silence (9)

Some guy told be CF was real slow, compared to normal flash memory.

I disagreed, but I'm not sure where cf sits in terms of perfomance

Or the first thumbdrive I saw at Qmb.co.nz: qmb.co.nz
Click the "Specifications" Tab and it says:
Performance : Read 9~10 MByte/s, Write 2 MByte/s

755245 2009-03-10 18:41:00 I want it. :p pcuser42 (130)
755246 2009-03-12 10:32:00 I think it fills a need. If I put an array like this strapped under my EeePC, would a 1200 AH battery be sufficient? R2x1 (4628)
755247 2009-03-13 02:52:00

I doubt 24 SSDs could fit in a netbook. :p

There's no spare room inside the EeePC after I put in the 1200 AH battery . ;)

755249 2009-03-13 03:07:00 You may as well carry a laptop with a 320GB hard drive. ;) :D pcuser42 (130)
