854126 2010-02-01 01:14:00 I am trying to change fron 8 core to 4 core usage.
There is supposed to be a setting in bios, but I can't find it.

ASUS Rampage motherboard

In the Bios, but why would you want to do that?

854130 2010-02-01 01:59:00 It's hard to say, J because none of us have an Asus Rampage, but it should be under CPU settings or something along that line in the BIOS.

And you don't have 8 cores - only 4 cores, each core having two workable threads.

Battle: supposedly HTT reduces games performance, especially older ones I think. It also makes the CPU hotter. My 920 is up to 10 degrees cooler with HTT off.

854132 2010-02-01 02:42:00 I finaly found it. In the "Main" section of bios.

As Dave said some games wont use it. And computer runs cooler without it.

Thanks everyone.
