755606 2009-03-12 03:39:00 Doesnt appeal to me, all i want from a laptop is light, good battery and enough grunt for docs and internet. Games strictly Desktop.

How do they cool that lump? Guess you might as wel watercool it, you arent likely to move it much anyway!

755609 2009-03-12 04:59:00 As a serious reply. I think these days, with the rise of short term contracts than for one job forever, freq change of addresses and even working abroad and apartment living. The trend is towards laptops, and they have come down a lot via the years, plasma tvs and portable walkmans. Looking at the small size of some Auckland apartments on TV with figures of $300k.

If I was like that I think I would forgo film photography, forgo my scanner and my printer, maybe have a tv tuner in the laptop and watch movies and listen to music on it too.

These day one could get a 2nd hand ultraportable that used to cost $5000 for $300 and still has a Core 2 Duo and does 3GB RAM.

755612 2009-03-12 06:00:00 That may happen

By the looks of it, it'll be using an atom 330 CPU and it'll be touchscreen

It maybe a later version of the EEE PC S101
