755067 2009-03-10 00:10:00 Does anyone know whether Xylene is able to be purchased at Supercheap or Repco or the like? It looks like nasty stuff for humans, but if it does the job....

Not really. Xylene is rather safe - but don't drink it. Not sure whether it is flammable or inflammable though. (OK, that's a joke - I know they're the same).

I've had it on my hands and spilled on my body and no problems after I got rid of the little blue guys who were crawling on me.

Inhale a bit of that SJ, and you could have a trip with out leaving the section.

755071 2009-03-10 01:36:00 Here's a few ideas I would try on your wifes car first, before you wreck yours.

A wire wheel on a grinder.
Hammer and chisel.
Paint over it.
Acid bath.

755073 2009-03-10 03:41:00 De-Solv-It (liquid in spray bottle) from local supermarket or hardware shop. Or "label remover" (aerosol spray) from the places that do electronic parts. Essentially same product - smell of lemon/orange oil. coldot (6847)

755075 2009-03-10 05:49:00 I tried a spray can of Bug and Tar Remover from the $2 shop and it worked a treat. Strommer (42)
755076 2009-03-10 06:37:00 A TV ad is running at present for WD40. I see that it has already been suggested but the ad says that it will remove tar. Let us know! Bryan (147)
