| 754821 | 2009-03-08 23:59:00 | We hardly use it and it is jammed, probably due to rust. Sprayed with WD40, waited for about an hour, then tried to loosen it with the 'self-service wrench (supplied with the unit) but it refuses to move - not even a little bit! Any suggestions other than calling in a serviceman as we don't actually use it (don't need it, really)? |

If it is old then it will be out of warranty anyway so nothing to loose. If it is a cheap one then it does not take much to jamb them up. |

| 754824 | 2009-03-09 00:58:00 | We just fixed our one recently, a chicken bone got jammed in when visitors tried to be nice and clean the dishes. We turned the power off and pulled it apart, fairly simple, and as Metla said once we gave it bit of a clean we reset the switch and away she went as good as new! |

If there is something like a bone (or spoon) jamming it, turning forwards will only make it worse. |

If you do not need the waste disposal unit and don't use it then why are you asking how to fix it? |

Did you try turning it backwards with the wrench ? If there is something like a bone (or spoon) jamming it, turning forwards will only make it worse. Yes. I did. |
