| 853946 | 2010-01-31 18:53:00 | Hey all, If you remember back a little you might have read my thread on my computer having no display . If not, basically what happened was, My graphics card fan wasn't spinning and there was no display on the monitor . Anyway, I brought a new graphics card (5870) it arrived this morning . I plugged it all in, and started it up . First thing I saw was the fan spinning, which was good . Second thing I saw, nothing was on the monitor display . I double checked all the cords, everything was in . So does this mean it's the motherboard? Or possibly the CPU? |

DOes it say no signal or anything? Tried this with another monitor? Also what PSU do you have, inc brand. |

The monitor says no signal if I unplug it first from power, then plug it back in. There is a orange light on the monitor. The monitor also works on two other laptops. PSU is Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus, 550W |

Nor does removing your HSF prove anything about the CPU other than it's lifespan just got a wee bit shorter now . |
