That is very true......during 'the war' with rationing we used to live a lot on bread and dripping, toast and dripping, suet puddings, roly poly pudding (thefoody.com), suet and lard were a mainstay :), but we didn't get fat.

Just look at old school photos going back to the 30s and 40s, there were no fat children. There were no fat kids when I was at school. At least not in the 'working class' schools I went to.

To those who claim they cannot lose weight and it's not their fault, the answer to that is there were no fat people in Auschwitz !
