855596 2010-02-05 16:44:00 OK guys and girls, the solution for the "End Program - n" problem for those of you running WinXP with Firefox versions 3.5 to 3.6 is found in the following
links:

addons.mozilla.org

getsatisfaction.com

Bottom line: Disable or Remove Ghostery add-on until the fix is in fruition.

It took me a while to find out the solution as everyone wants to read more into the problem than actually exists. Sure hope that this helps all of you with XP and Firefox.

855597 2010-02-05 19:09:00 Doubt thats the answer. Since I've never heard of it. And I doubt everyone who's getting this end program message uses it Speedy Gonzales (78)
855598 2010-02-05 21:19:00 Excellent Answer to both links (www.imagef1.net.nz) (BTW - I'm being sarcastic). wainuitech (129)
855599 2010-02-05 21:19:00 Speedy,

You know a lot, but you don't know everything. You certainly know more than I do. I had the problem and the solution I posted worked for me, that's why I posted it. Hopefully, it will work for some others too.

Your statement: "Doubt thats the answer. Since I've never heard of it. And I doubt everyone who's getting this end program message uses it" is ludicrous.

Take time to read all that is posted carefully, including what is in the links. I believe that 32 other people had the problem and it solved it for them. It's not an all-out solution.

855603 2010-02-05 21:49:00 I just tested them and if they don't work it may be because of you two.

I may be a junior member but I would never lead people astray.

855604 2010-02-05 22:05:00 Doubt thats the answer. Since I've never heard of it. Gosh, if you haven't heard of it before, then it mustn't be the answer. It's a bit over the top to think that Speedy.

Anyhoo, try not to shoot the new guy down in flames. They are only trying to be helpful which is what this forum is all about.

addons.mozilla.org

getsatisfaction.com o_be_released_high_cpu_usage These ones work - the first ones didn't.

The possible fixes may work for someone else who has the same problem - only time well tell I spose.

Sometimes a fix that works for one person doesn't for someone else -- Takes all the "fun" out of it if one fix for all works ;)
