855443 2010-02-05 00:37:00 Hello all again, I purchased a M4A77TD PRO a few months ago and due to unforeseen circumstances haven't had the money to complete the last few stages of my project. (see below)

I'm wondering if anyone knows the graphics card equivalent of the M4A77TD PRO and if it would be able to handle Call of Duty: Modern Warfare OR Modern Warfare 2 without graphics card, I'm thinking of setting up a LAN however I currently only have 1 Graphics card.

Thanks,
Joe

Graphic card equivalent of the motherboard?...the Pro is a CF board so you can have 2 graphic's cards. I just completed a build on the std version of the is board. Be sure to set the RAM manually in the BIOS.

Now the display resolution will play a very big part in graphic card requirement, so how big is your display?

Your thinking of setting up a LAN, but only have 1 graphic card...ummm, good luck with that?

There is no graphics card equivalent of a motherboard. They are different pieces of hardware.

Go take a look at the VGA charts on Toms Hardware, the higher the ranking, the better the card.
Then buy the best you can afford.

855448 2010-02-07 23:18:00 ooooooooooooo

can i atleast assume its running on a nvidia 7700 series or equivalent? (if it exists)

855449 2010-02-07 23:29:00 That mobo does not have onboard video - so you'll need a graphics card.

What exactly are you asking? Your posts seem quite confused .....

855450 2010-02-07 23:51:00 I also fail to see what the connection is between having one video card and a LAN. Sweep (90)
855451 2010-02-08 00:35:00 OK, now i get you, Thanks Brooko. anyways, I thought that this mobo might have inbuilt graphics similar to my M2N-MX-SE plus mobo(6150 SE graphics)

Obviously not...

I Guess I'll have to invest in a 4890 or similar sooner rather than later.

~ As for the lan, it will be COD4:MW with me + my brother. however I only have a 9800gt at the moment and in between getting my second rig running and buying a GPU for it I hoped I could play COD4:MW anyway.

Thanks,
Joe

855452 2010-02-10 02:45:00 HD4890 is probably the best performance vs cost right now. the HD5850 is slightly faster but with $200 more price tag.. not worth it unless you really want DX11

The HD4890 is faster than the HD5770 even...
