| 855393 | 2010-02-04 20:10:00 | Hi I don't have a set budget but would like to keep it below $3500 (Just for the box) So the computer will be mainly used for image editing. applications that i will be using are Maya, Adobe CS4 and little use of sound forge. running on windows 7 pro, possibly 64bit version. Can i get some suggestions for the CPU, Graphic card and the amount of memory needed to keep the rendering time to minimum while i edit raw image files which can exceed 1000mb+ thank you. |

And if you load and edit a 3 GB+ file (in a 32 bit program), it'll probably close on you. Its happened here before. So, not only will you need a 64 bit system, you'll also need 64 bit programs | Speedy Gonzales (78)

Its the CPU / and ram (and the program if its 64 bit), that does the work not the videocard. I'm just using an HD4550. Thats good enough for me for editing video. | Speedy Gonzales (78)
