| 855009 | 2010-02-03 22:10:00 | Current setup. Multifunction printer connected via USB to desktop XP system. Works fine. Laptop on Vista can access printer via wireless network. Works fine. Another desktop system with vista can access printer via wired network. This system takes several minutes to get a responce. What could be causing this? |

| 855011 | 2010-02-03 23:02:00 | Try this: On the XP Computer reset the TCP/IP Stack by opening a command prompt window (Start>Run>cmd) and typing: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt It can become corrupted and slow down or stop file and printer sharing all together On the Vista machines, you also definitely want to turn off Remote Differential Compression, it's been known to make machines that are networked dog slow at transferring files. Start > Control Panel > Turn Windows features on or off > Untick Remote Differential Compression > OK > Restart Some Internet Security suites (I.E. Mcafee) are known to cause problems.. try disabling them if the above doesn't work let us know how you go, Rick |

| 855012 | 2010-02-04 00:06:00 | Ok I have tryed both of those & no noticable difference. Wondered if this might have been a MS Office problem as it was in XL & word that was having this problem. Have also tryed Wordpad & it appears to be even slower. Example, open a window, type a few words, go print preview, little round circle comes up & it's 15-20 seconds before it responds. Then same again when you go to close. |

| 855015 | 2010-02-04 01:13:00 | This network uses a RTA1025W moden router. No trouble sharing files & moving data round. Just tryed something else. Turned of the modem & tryed the same as in post 4. Worked instantly. Also in XL, no problems at all, but can't print of cause. |
