2010-02-03 09:00:00 | Comodo taskbar shield has a stop sign. Diagnostics has a message headed "cfpconfg.exe - Entry point not found". The body of the message reads:The procedure entry point _IsValidBASE@4 could not be located in the dynamic link library framework.dll. Any ideas or is a complete delete/reinstall the easiest answer?

2010-02-03 10:40:00 | What version is it?? I think it was updated just the other day. I would check out the forum (http://forums.comodo.com/) | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-02-04 03:59:00 | Hi Speedy Yes, it has updated successfully, and appears normal after starting windows, but 5-10mins later the stop sign still comes up as usual. | PPp (9511) | |
2010-02-06 00:56:00 | After not getting any info I decided to un/re install Comodo Firewall. This was a bit of nightmare but finally got it done with the help of information on the Comodo Forums. On reinstall I had a different problem, still the red stop sign on the taskbar shield and on opening the program there was a message "The network firewall is not functioning properly" . But diagnosticts says everything is fine. This is known problem and looking on the Comodo forums seems to indicate once you have the problem, your stuck with it, Comodo don't seem to have provided a solution, unless anyone has heard differently? | PPp (9511) | |
2010-02-06 04:00:00 | I've had similar issues in the past. The remedy that I normally use is to first uninstall the existing Comodo Firewall first, then restart the computer before re-installing the software. After that, restart the computer again and things should sort themselves out. HTH

2010-02-06 11:11:00 | Yes it took a while, especially as your solution did not work for me Jamuz and I had to do it all over again. Finally went with PC tools firewall which I'd had previously, it seems good and has tested well. | PPp (9511) | |
