854872 2010-02-03 04:06:00 When I pair my Ipod Touch 3rd Generation with my HP Pavillion dv6 Entertainment laptop I end up getting this error

"There is no driver installed for Bluetooth Peripheral Device.
Device information
Name: Bluetooth Peripheral Device
ID: BTHENUM\{00000000-DECA-FADE-DECA-DEAFDECACAFE}_VID&000205AC_PID&1293\7&32F1260A&0&0026B03EF212_C00000000
Error code: 28"

I have tried using the troubleshooter but it was useless!!
Any ideas on how to fix this?

What purpose are you connecting it for? I also get errors when connecting mine, such as for playing music from teh ipod through the pc speakers. It works but then stops loses connection, and I think it is just temperamental.

854876 2010-02-05 07:23:00 I was trying to use the laptop as speakers for the ipod, but i have ad even less luck than you with no connection.. jrrd1122000 (15356)
854877 2010-02-05 07:24:00 Ummmm why not just play the music from your laptop? xyz823 (13649)
854878 2010-02-05 07:27:00 BT is for sending files etc from one device to another. Like contacts that you may have. Its not to share hardware. You may as well buy an Ipod dock. What version of windows is it? If its vista / windows 7. Go to windowsupdate check for updates. And see if there's a BT driver Speedy Gonzales (78)
854879 2010-02-05 07:28:00 You can control your itunes library via wireless with an app called "remote" if thats what you're trying to achieve... xyz823 (13649)

Actually No!! BT is used commonly for sharing media what you are speaking of is more like Infrared!! it is perfectly plauseable to play music via a bluetooth connection and many home entertainment systems have this function.

and as for my OS i have Windows 7 ultimate!!
