As far as i know they are still in the shed, but may have been offered to my dads best friend who they were both madly keen on those things . . . . . . . . . . . . . and all the other stuff in the shed . The friend is a ex motor rewinder . . . . . . (that sound right?) and so they talk was always jargon to me . we have managed to take away 2 trailer loads of srap metal and thats over 2 ton . . . . . . . . ???? the beetle has been moved yesterday . . . . . . . . . . . . 3and a half hours to manually winch on and off the truck . . . . . . . . . sigh . with 2 spare doors, a bonnet, boot, 2 back seats and 2 spare front seats, an exhaust, an axle???? only half . . . . . and 2 boxes of assorted motor bits, and some front lights, but i cannot find the spare back tail lights . . . . . . . . . . . which would be handy as the others are broken . i have not brought home the windscreens yet, they are safely up on the couch that is danglying from the shed roof . . . . . . lol and ya still cant walk around it eassily . the shed that is . beetle :D |

| 756616 | 2009-03-22 06:46:00 | It seems i was wrong dads friend is unable to take the radio stuff, as he has enuf of his own and no room for more.....lol but it is fine where it is, we have hardly touched the shed really..... we took another load of scrap including spare whitewear away today. we found 2 more bambina motors, complete wiring of a bambina, more hub caps, 3 sets of back lights !!!! yay, and an assortment of other bits and peices, so i bought another box full home, and have too go into the garden shed and retrieve various items. we also found a complete axle with hubs on them but it was outside and under a tree which loose's so many leave it was composted on top of it....lol and i found a spare bumper..... and that was in the same spot under the edge of the lean too......... we predict we will find more treasures........... as my dads idea of stroing things was not completely organised, some things are in named boxes while others are randomly dumped places............ i can see where i get some of storage habits from....... not a neat freak, but i do like named order..... sigh. and we still have trouble walking around the shed without going over , around and stepping between items.... so yeah we making a slight dent i guess............ 78 years of collecting treasures isnt easy to disapeer quickly and quietly...lol beetle :) |
