And as for china being a bigger consumer than the states well.... if its worked out overall yes.... if its worked out per head of population then no... Also the amount of goods that the states imports is far outweighed by the amount they export, just makes me wonder where they expect to get the money from too keep running... and the whole who else will china loan their money to etc. etc. They could stop loaning money and inject it internally to increase their own populous's worth and education... Unless you live in a major city in china you're unlikely to have any schooling, medical care and the like. China's also been slowly throwing out "commie" ideas for years now and are moving more towards capitalist mannerisms. |

China, although large, has very little influence in control of the world as they sought to remain rather sequestered for centuries and that isolationist attitude still prevails although there is a new, albeit too late, ground swell . If that makes them a world power, then I don't see it . They are basically giant consumers and if you think that the US is wasteful and diabolically the hungriest nation of sloths and pustules on the world's collective buttock, you aren't seeing the facts that China is many times worse . Movers and shakers aside and the current situation also begging, what makes anyone think that China has any- or can control it's internal strife (and circumspectly), how will they ever create order out of their own house of cards? Elitism and attitudes of world dominion don't always go together and I find that I don't have much in my life that is dictated by China . I am not answering to them, nor do I find them in my everyday concern and reverences . I DO find their cavalier attitude for food purity and gross pollution is just the tip of a monstrous iceberg that has yet to rise from the depths of China's ugly nether regions . An elitist I am not - and even if I live in one of the most reprehensible nations in the earth, I cannot apologize for nor make excuses for the US's attitude, especially now as the "New Regime" takes a stranglehold on the rest of the world . China, on the other hand, has sufficient internal trouble to not want to expend any energy in the shaking and baking of the rest of the world at this and as I see it - any time in the near future . Even Genghis Khan was not a world leader nor a world dictator - he was just their local hit man and Mongol-guy . He raised a few eyebrows, slew some people and rode a few elephants, but it was in all respect - a circus act . He managed to conscript some nomadic tribes into a pact of blood-thirsty raiders which for the life of me I cannot believe was a world power . As it is, the Mongol Empire doesn't seem to be around any more - not so for the Medes, Persians, Roman and Greeks for an example . The whole Mongol nation seems to have fallen to the old adage that a house divided upon itself cannot stand . China's house is still very divided and I don't see any rectification of that - ever . China is that powerful that they have been letting the USA believe their are No1 . The only people that don't believe this would be the citizens within the usa . The rest of the world know it . |
