| 757222 | 2009-03-17 22:56:00 | Score so far Police 9 Metla 1 But please get back to the subject. I just want his mum to stop wasting our time and money. She bred him, she knew he was violent and her family were scared of him ! And I wish tvnz would find another picture of him instead of that nice smiley one ! |

| 757223 | 2009-03-17 22:57:00 | No... it was doing the crime. I've managed to go through life without running around smashing windows, spraying fences or any other yobbo behaviour. And I'm still alive. Go figure. |

| 757224 | 2009-03-17 23:01:00 | And as a younger man I twacked a cop who was way way out of line, You think I should have been shot dead? All he had to do was present his gun, shoot me dead, then say he felt scared. Oh wait, Cops are never out of line, Always honest, make good decisions, Pretty much unfalliable, there for shooting someone for smashing windows is a damn fine thing to do. |

He ran around smashing everything in sight, ignored warnings that they were cops, ignored requests to stop, ignored warnings that they were armed, continued his voilent behaviour - throwing things at police standing there with guns (Darwin again?) and they shot in self defence. No man ever got shot doing the dishes. And no kid ever got shot doing his homework. It's about behaving like any civilised person. |

| 757226 | 2009-03-17 23:15:00 | Wallace family pay taxes, and not allowed to use the public system??# Anyone who thinks that is a loony tune, and needs to commit themselves. ?? Hang on there is nowhere to be committed to now days...crap, oh well stay in the general audience and try to keep in line. Sure, Wallace was an idiot and out of control, but being shot dead is not what should have happened. I can think of many ways to bring him down put on full riot gear and go in for a fight pepper spray lasso him with a rope hell they could have even gone away, grown some balls... I do not condone what he did, or any other vandal for that matter, I think the world would be a better place without without this nonsence. |

Ah, so smashing a cop isn't worthy of death, But smashing a window is. Its the act of presenting the gun that turns a bad situation into a killing situation. Poor choice of action, deadly outcome. Over a situation that plays out week after week all over the country. That aside, of course people have been shot doing the dishes and homework, Its the person with the gun that decides on the course of action, not the person getting shot. |

| 757229 | 2009-03-18 00:21:00 | I agree totally with Metla. You are shot for smashing windows and threatening a cop? Incredible! And yet, if you shoot a cop, the entire NZ police are out to get you.:horrified I have had (pleasant) dealings with the Royal Ulster Constabulary. They are armed with Magnum 45s. I have fired one on their range. Not very accurate in my hands, but in the hands of a RUC cop, deadly! They rarely use their pistols, but I was told that when they do, they aim for the legs. Those pistols can blow your legs off. But at least you will be a good boy after you have stopped bleeding. Are our cops that incompetent with their firearms that, if they must shoot, they can't hit someone in the legs? Or do they just point, close their eyes and hope like hell? No matter what you have done, no-one deserves that! The cop should be held accountable. Only a policeman can get away with murder, particularly when the police investigate the police. What other outcome did anyone realistically expect?:illogical Did I read the report? A whitewash. Obviously the law needs changing so there is no longer such a thing as legalised murder.:annoyed: |

| 757230 | 2009-03-18 00:32:00 | The police just kneecapped Grahame Burton who had just previously visciously killed someone by shooting then plunging a knife through to the spine. Now that subhuman was someone who should have been despatched forthwith. The Wallace case was just not in the same league. |
