not hairy, but definately agree with the "hair-raising" comment :)

It's common practise around these parts to use an ad-blocker, and there's also a CSS script floating around that cleans up the mess and makes it look all nice & uncluttered again (think "the forum, and nothing but the forum").

The whole place has gone badly downhill since Fairfax took over - they seem to be running both the forum and the mag into the ground trying to wring every last dollar from them, while conveniently forgetting that no readership and no members == no revenue :groan:.

If they want to save money while keeping the readers happy, they could pad out all the articles with the most useful or insightful comments from Pressf1.
