Interesting point - we had a quote recently from a supposed expert who made the point the the heat pump should be left on all the time - saves having to heat things up from cold so is cheaper. This is similar to the old one about leaving the immersion heater on all the time so you never have to heat the water up from cold. Absolute nonsense of course. Heatpumps and immersion heaters should only be switched on when you need them. |
