2010-02-04 02:44:00 | Thanks, I've done that but it seems the same. Opening a browser it spikes to 100% then goes up and down 100-40-100-20 eg and then settles until I maybe open Facebook and then the same thing. Using the Scrabble app in Facebook and placing one tile, again spiking 100% and going up and down. I guess I need to know if it should do this. Maybe it always does it and I only noticed because of the computer stalling yesterday or will it break my computer. | bellbird (6169) | |
2010-02-04 02:51:00 | Uninstall google and yahoo tool bar. They can screw browsers sometimes Uninstall Mcafee siteadvisor, and try WOT (www.mywot.com). It does the same thing.See if that fixes it

2010-02-04 02:56:00 | Note that heavy javascript or flash can peg the cpu for short times, especially flash games. Theres only an issue if your computer actually freezes while this happens - or the 100% cpu continues for too long.

2010-02-04 03:50:00 | Google and yahoo toolbars gone, Mcafee gone, Wot installed in both browsers. Thanks for your expert help Speedy and thanks pkm. That was my first Hijack this Log, am quite proud of my efforts today too. If the computer freezes again I'll have to revisit the problem. | bellbird (6169) | |
2010-02-04 03:52:00 | Sweet :) Hopefully it doesn't freeze again | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-02-05 23:06:00 | It seems that my problems have all been related to the Scrabble application on Facebook and Game House itself. Finally a message from Game House has appeared on the support Forum advising that they are now aware that New Zealand is having trouble accessing their games and there is also a know issue with the Scrabble application eating resources so that explains at lot. Thanks Speedy for your help last week, I know how to do a Hijack this Log now and am happy with the other tweaks we did. | bellbird (6169) | |
