756826 2009-03-16 04:39:00 Build 7057 is not RC.

The public Release Candidate due to be released in late May 2009 (www.neowin.net).

756827 2009-03-16 05:19:00 Thats why I was asking :D I was at a persons place this morning, and they had downloaded the 7057 last night - they installed it while I was there, the EULA does say its Release Candidate 1 the Beta COA works and the Expiry date is exactly as Shown on this site (www.techtree.com). Even had the changed Splash screen - and the new themes - kindergarden stuff

Edited: everything described On this site (windows7news.com) is as it says.

I'll wait till its on Technet - just renewed my sub.

756828 2009-03-16 06:49:00 New splash screen? Do you mean the boot screen? pcuser42 (130)
756829 2009-03-16 07:27:00 Yep, new startup screen sorry, and new shutdown one as well. Some screen shots (news.softpedia.com) - just got back from the persons place - had a quick look around  Scroll down that page and look near the bottom for the new themes - reminds me of that movie "Robots" - a kids animated film.

More here (news.softpedia.com) - 3rd row up from the bottom, the new start up/shutdown screen.

Very pastel looking now.
Got his DVD he made - so may install it tomorrow or wed for a better look around.

It's not the bootscreen that's changed - it's the background of the logon screen that has.
