755898 2009-03-12 20:07:00 Just bear in mind that these cables are all produced to be great value. Some are good value for you, some are great for the supplier. R2x1 (4628)
755899 2009-03-12 20:08:00 Very similar results to the Consumer report. Slight difference in cable brands tested and their findings on the maximum length of cable before quality became an issue differed by 3m. johcar (6283)

Choice, Consumer and several other magazines collaborate in testing things.

Effectively it is just the same testing written up in a more honest way. The Choice verdict was that the differences weren't statistically significant so they didn't attempt a pointless ranking chart. The Consumer report has a table of 2-3 metre cables scored out of 10 which is pointless as the body of the report explained that you had to join 10 cables together before their experts could see any differences.

755901 2009-03-12 22:15:00 I don't get how there could be any difference in quality - as CyaBro pointed out in an earlier post, the signal is digital, so it either gets there or it doesn't - you'd either get a perfect picture, or you'd get heaps of artifacting a la what happens with FreeviewHD when the signal isn't strong enough.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this! :p
