| 758605 | 2009-03-22 21:58:00 | www.google.co.nz Leasing doesn't suit everyone - there are some hooks in the arrangement (cashflow needs to be predictable, there might be a residual at the end of the term to be aware of). When I buy (and admittedly I'm usually only buying a single machine at a time), I look out for the "interest free and deferred" deals. I get the use of a new machine for 18+ months before having to pay for it (plenty of time to find the cash for it). Yes, I pay full price (ie. not discounted), but I'd rather that than pay cash up front. |

| 758608 | 2009-04-06 02:50:00 | Hi what ever you dont do business with flexi rent they are a law unto themselfs and quiet frankly you kiwis take it lying down sorry but listen i have a PS3 and a LCD HD TV brought at Harvey norman using flexirent now you miss one payment you get a letter called a dishonesty fee for missing payment, total of $25 NZD now i have 2 items so if money was not in there for 1 item then im also getting hit for the other i spoke with them on the phone always seem to get this rude yarpie women who is most unhelpful, they told me my PS3 is nearly paid off and i only have 1000 to pay lol i already paid $2000 odd now im really thinking about giving them back the PS3 as now they are around $700 but what i want to do is take the shits or let them take me to court and see what a judge has to say in the UK i took a large UK bank to court and won over bank charges the financial onbardsman deamed them ilegal it does not cost £25 to send out a letter regarding a missed payment they worked it out to be around £2.80 so i took the said bank to court over this and they settled out of court for 6 years worth of bank charges but the consumer seems to get no protection like this in NZ wow it felt good taking a bank to court and winning, was so easy filed the charge online and within 1 month had a court date set business's in NZ seem to ride ruff shot as you guys are around 4-5 million so the odd voice here and there is not heard sorry for the rant but i would not use flexi rent and now i dont know weather to just give them the stuff back or take em to the small claims court here in NZ and maybe infront of the judge i can at the least make a sensdible offer to settle the account any advice would be welcome as im from the UK been here 2.5years but have had no dealings with and no faith so far in the legal system here steve [edit: removed URLs promoting own website] |
