| 758584 | 2009-03-22 11:09:00 | I must say, after grabbing the latest Chrome BETA, PF1 absolutely ROCKETS when used in conjunction with Privoxy! :D That said, the main page goes from <2 seconds to 13+ seconds when I disable Privoxy... Was reading some benchmarks and thought I'd give it a whirl. Call me crazy but I honestly reckon its faster, not only for browsing but loading up too! I swear it loads up faster than FF / IE now (Havent tried vs Opera / Safari though). Anyways, as you were ;) Chill. |

| 758592 | 2009-03-22 22:30:00 | Privoxy does a good job, (just as long as you put the ips in under proxy.), with most of the browsers. Altho, you dont need it with IE or FF. I'm using it with Opera to reply in here. Its still pretty fast. Altho, with Opera (9.64), on some sites (with or without Privoxy), you'll see (at the other end of the address bar), it'll stop (where it says elements % of %) sometimes, it can get annoying Privoxy was just as fast, with Safari. But since some of the options in Safari dont work, I biffed it. |
