758353 2009-03-21 23:47:00 Not only is Sky going to be bringing us live qualifying and the race itself from Melbourne (as is normal with their F1 coverage), but it appears that we are also going to be seeing live coverage of the three official practice sessions.

Yippee :banana:clap:banana:clap:banana

758354 2009-03-22 01:08:00 Good news indeed. This is as close as we will ever get to having our own F1 event. Wish they could bring back the old days of the Tasman Series, in the Northern Hemisphere off season. We older guys remember the great drivers and racing from Ardmore, Pukekohe and Levin during those years as we saw top racing cars, with engines even more powerful, than used in the GP racing of the day. Great stuff! :) Richard (739)

Moss was one of my heroes too. Especially when he drove the Maserati 250F in the early days. Wasn't it great to watch all the drivers and cars that we had only read about racing in NZ. The only ones we didn't see were the likes of Fangio and Ascari. Probably all would be left in the dust today by those revolting Aussie V8s (Here comes an argument) but the racing was better then as was the variety of racing cars taking part. The lack of pit security meant that we were able to wander around looking at the cars, and even talk to the likes of Jim Clark and Graham Hill.

758360 2009-03-22 21:28:00 The only revolting aussie V8s are the Holdens.
Go Ford, go the mighty Falcoon.
