856392 2010-02-08 22:19:00 Okay, basically, I listen to The Rock a lot and came to thinking about how I could get the lyrics for their songs without Google-ing all the time.

The radio has a .swf file that automatically updates with the currently playing song.
A basic marque text scroll.

Simply, I was wondering if php/html/any other web code could read this SWF, and search a lyrics database (or lyrics website) then display the result.

Would be awesome, but yeah.

Any ideas?

Edit:

I'd be running whatever does get made, on my website.

www.therock.net.nz

You should be able to pipe that into any script you need.

856395 2010-02-09 02:02:00 In case anyone is wondering, someone forwarded me to these PHP functions.

I'll see what I can do with them and hopefully have a running script by the end of the week.

856396 2010-02-09 11:45:00 I should also point out you don't actually need the ?rnd= at the end of the URL - that's just to prevent browsers from incorrectly caching that file. nate (15033)

I was curious.

Thanks again.
