The news has been over sensationalised bs for ages. Just you have finally realised that. With age comes wisdom I guess One Auckland News - remember when they led with a story that people couldn't get a latte in Auckland, when the South Island was under snow and several people had no power for up to three weeks.Aint that the truth. Its all about teh J A F A But then, some on this forum say that Auckland is the main suburban area in our country, without them we would all be in the dark ages (or some bs along those lines) we need a tui ad emote... Auckland or bust... |

| 758490 | 2009-03-23 21:49:00 | Hi Guys Lately I am sick of tvnz making up the news and exagerating things. Eg the other day they said that National was going to slash the amount of money spent on road safety campaigns. In actual fact the amount was 900 million down from 950 million that Labour was going to spend. So that is about 5% down on a planned increase ! so in actual fact the amount is probably the same as it is now ! I hardly call 5% slashing ! do you. Then they said that the rest of the country was annoyed that the Auckland regional road tax was being dropped in favour of a small nationwide increase. This was announced in the morning, and I listed to the radio all day and did not hear one complaint from the rest of the country. But on the 6pm news TVNZ said the rest of the country was angry at this. They interviewed one anti-roads campaigner. They also forgot to say that Christchurch road users would also not be paying a regional road tax. I wish TVNZ would just report the news and not make it up to make it sound sensational ! What do you think ? I haven't watched it in ten years. I suggest you do the same. I remember it behaving the same way towards the government throughout the 90s so this is nothing new. |

They never put helen clark under pressure only asking patsy questions. As soon as they bash the current govt on the news I flick to another channel. |
