758029 2009-03-20 11:31:00 Support the South Island! Laura and Winston001 for President(s). :thanks

Why not make all polls close after the first vote, thereby ensuring a unanimous opinion every time ;)

Sigh.
Here is another old thread brought up:-
pressf1.co.nz

Hopefully you can give your opinion as to fixing wheels or not.

758030 2009-03-20 20:02:00 I vote two months, although IMO stickied threads should never close (bar the rules). pcuser42 (130)
758031 2009-03-20 21:25:00 Iconic threads should never close................. how could one even contemplate closing the fridge! and really the lets have a party thread pops up enuf to save it from closing......... even tho chat is broke........... and a search is on for the fix it hammer...:p

758032 2009-03-20 21:32:00 how could one even contemplate closing the fridge Quite easy really - if a Mod makes it Sticky - and if a the sticky doesn't close.

Some of the good natured threads "should" be preserved.

758033 2009-03-20 22:51:00 Still waiting to see how the total database would be affected.
If a thread is locked it would appear you can't reply in any event.

What is the difference, Jen, between closing or locking a thread if any?

Have been trying to contact him for weeks to get the domains pointed at the new server (chatf1 was moved a few days ago), but no joy so far. If anyone has current contact details, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. Erayd (23)

No difference sweep - the old threads will still all be in the database, and you will still be able to see them. The only change is you will no longer be able to reply to threads where the last post is older than the set interval (hence the poll here).

Thanks for that information.
What about reducing the member database where people join and have made no posts at all?
