| 757666 | 2009-03-19 09:06:00 | There is a similar section at the final approach to the summit of Ruapehu - from memory there is (was?) a snow covered section about 30 or so metres long but it was about 1 metre wide, with a sheer drop on one side and a huge ice crater on the other. Got a photo somewhere......might have to find it...... How stable are those platforms? Some of those iron supports look pretty rusty...... |
