757617 2009-03-18 22:49:00 We have noticed that the birds in our backyard require longer runways, in their take-off efforts, after feasting on the fruit of our two pear trees . They must be some of the best fed birds in the country . Unfortunately, their increased weight makes them sluggish and easy prey for the local feline fraternity . In some other cases the starlings have been too busy, fighting each other for their bounty, to notice the patient pussycats .

Many birds do not seem to mind green pears and eat them on the trees .

I love my pears and have frozen many kilograms but I fear the blackbirds, starlings and sparrows have eaten as much as I have frozen .

757619 2009-03-18 23:04:00 How many starlings does it take to make a decent sized pie? the_bogan (9949)

Eggsactly!

I was hoping that someone would have come up with a foul joke!

I'm surprised that I had to wait so long.

Thanks for your efforts. We do appreciate your humour, R2x1.:clap

757625 2009-03-22 00:30:00 It did not take a battery of rocket scientists to realise that if you egged him on, R2x1 would be crowing with his paltry yolks.:waughh: Roscoe (6288)
