856005 2010-02-07 05:45:00 last night i install vista home premium onto an HP DX6100MT, with a 2.8gHz CPU 3GB ram and a 2TB HDD. Got all the updates and proper drivers, yet the pc seems to freezing alot, i hardly have anything on here, Ive redone the system install twice...... any ideas, i can post a HJT if it helps aidanmaz (7180)

856010 2010-02-07 06:56:00 Click Start, type in performance - from the results, select performance and reliability, then on the left select Reliability Monitor - open it, where there are lockups, or faults there will be a red circle with a white x , select one, and below will be the problem.

What does it say the problem is when there were lockups.

856011 2010-02-07 07:02:00 nothing is hogging the systems resources.... i have all the drivers, but i used the ones off the HP site. i realise the video card prolly ccant do aero, but this shud make things faster. - im guessing aidanmaz (7180)
