855848 2010-02-06 22:47:00 Hi Guys

I am building a new PC.
I want to stick with AMD (for political reasons).
It is just for business use and a bit of Photoshop.

I have a Nvidia NX 8500GT graphics card already and I want to get a mid range motherboard.

I am looking at the Gigabtye (as you guys say they are very reliable) GA MA770 for $138 from Elive.

This board has lots of slots and 8 USB ports on the back and it can take Phenom CPU's.

Do you think that my graphics card will be compatible with this motherboard ?

855849 2010-02-06 22:53:00 The motherboard has a PCI E slot so the card will fit. Sweep (90)
855850 2010-02-07 04:34:00 OK, but does that it will work OK ? Digby (677)

You asked if it was compatible and yes it is.

Now you ask if it will work OK. What do you mean by OK? It's not the best card but it will work. Will it be blinding fast, probably not!

855854 2010-02-07 06:57:00 I've bought a (NVIDIA) video card that now and then reconnects every so moment, the screen goes blank and reconnects.

The shop never had a problem. They tested it.
This was via DVI. Tried the other port and change my settings to no avail, tried newer drivers.
If I put it on standard VGA the problem went away ..

I upgraded to a ATI for the same amount approx. Never had the issue again.

I think get from a good shop incase you need an exchange.
