759914 2009-03-26 21:26:00 The ISP that is?

Asking on behalf of my mother - on a fixed income and not particularly computer literate (so what is their Help like?).

759915 2009-03-26 21:37:00 Can you help her with XP remote assistance? prefect (6291)
759916 2009-03-26 21:49:00 I can do better than that, I'm just a few km down the road, so help in person if she gets stuck.

The reason I ask is because of the horror stories you hear about Vodafone and the like.

I would prefer to be second-level support...

759917 2009-03-27 05:02:00 Good. My son was with them for a while. pctek (84)
759918 2009-03-27 06:34:00 Snap is like an early bit of Crackle & Pop ;) R2x1 (4628)
759919 2009-03-27 07:13:00 Snap is the best ISP I have dealt with, but most of the few customers I have on Snap have been moving to Telstra lately :(

Snap has the best support. Not sure about speeds or pricing.

759920 2009-03-27 11:40:00 When I was with them they were great. They weren't the *absolute* cheapest - but they were best for service and help. I don't think I ever waited on hold for longer than about two minutes Deane F (8204)
759921 2009-03-28 02:34:00 I signed up to them last night. Telescum sent us a letter saying that they were putting up line charges again. I was on Telescum / Xnet, but by moving to Snap for phone and broadband I'm going to save approx $7 / month and the added bonus of saying seeya to Telescum! YEY! pine-o-cleen (2955)
