857360 2010-02-11 21:45:00 I have finally succumbed and bought an iPhone, after establishing that Palm have no interest in this part of the world and won't be bringing the Pre to NZ anytime soon, and getting fed up waiting for the NexusOne to launch in NZ.

On the whole I am enjoying the iPhone and slowly getting used to the shortfalls in functionality that I had for so long on my Palm Treo 650... ;)

One thing I have not yet found via Google is a way to change the sort order or the display of SMS message threads.

On the Treo I was able to sort by date or by sender. It seems that the iPhone has a default of sort by date and no other options.

The other thing I would like to amend is the start day of the week - again the iPhone seems to have a default of Sunday, whereas I want it to start on a Monday (because my weekly billings are from Monday to Sunday). There was a suggestion I saw in a support forum to change my regional setting to UK, but that stuffs up the currency symbol in my timesheet app.

Does anyone know if there is a global setting I can change for either of these items?

(This phone is not jailbroken, and I do not intend to take this action, just in case anyone was going to suggest some kind of hack)

857361 2010-02-12 21:59:00 UPDATE: Found that the start day of week issue is more with the timesheet application than the phone. I notice that with regional setting set to NZ, the Calendar displays Monday as the start day of each week. So I wil take that issue up with the supplier of the timesheet app....

Still want to sort messages differently though....
