2010-02-11 03:09:00 i got an ipod touch in the weekend and iv been playing around with it but its not been as fun as it should have. i dont have a wireless modem and so i cannot do the stuff ur supposed to do with, after hours of googling and seeing if i can somehow do it when its plugged in to the computer or something. then when i thought i could get ebooks onto the ipod, i found out that stanza doesnt let you unless you have wireless and after a while of searching, i found out about ad hoc networks or whatever. since my laptop has a wireless card, i thought i could use it to connect the ipod to the internet. i set up the network and the ipod detects it, but it took so long trying to connect, but it just wasnt working. i was wondering if someone could help?

thanks in advance

2010-02-11 03:13:00 What version of windows are you using? Ive read Win7 supports this natively. It can act as an AP. However some versions only support ad-hoc wireles networks Speedy Gonzales (78)

2010-02-11 04:59:00 its ok, i got it it work, apparently it can only be WEP protected nerd (109)
2010-02-11 05:10:00 Correct. Because you need an AP, if you want WPA+. And ad-hoc only supports WEP security Speedy Gonzales (78)
