760300 2009-03-29 21:11:00 If you have a firewall, the worm may be able to do localised damage, but it should not be able to dial home unless you click allow on the firewall. Windows firewall doesn't count. utopian201 (6245)
760301 2009-03-30 05:53:00 Another example of Y2K frenzy? More activity than actual damage perhaps? andrew93 (249)
760302 2009-03-30 06:02:00 Bearing in mind that those who have dissasembled the code so far have seen a date of April 1 to phone home to one or more of a few thousand url's, I'm not convinced it's paranoia.

It may be paranoia to think that all of these infected machines are going to do a denial of service on Pressf1 though. :waughh:

760304 2009-03-30 07:41:00 Yeah upon doing a little more research, its not paranoia... I wonder what kind of damage you could do with 100,000 machines DoS'ing a website / country .. :D Chilling_Silence (9)

One thing I haven't tried yet is Avast with eicar on a USB drive. It is supposed to work "on demand" when I try to run an infected file.

Nothing against Nod32 BTW. I will test this later.
